11:11

It’s 11:11, time to make a wish

I close my eyes and give my hair a swish

My fingers touch my forehead

Followed by my chest

 My lips start moving silently

As I give my brain a rest

I just am so happy

I caught the clock just in time

I hope I’ll win my B-ball game

That’s the wish  I’m making in my mind

I open my eyes but I’m not quite done

Still a few words to go

My eyes move upward slowly

I just want to see the time

But It’s already 11:13

There’s no brain to blame but mine

(Poem about basketball game will be next… the title is “winning shot”. Above this blog post.)

Bed time

I squirted some toothpaste on my toothbrush

Scrubbing each and every tooth it was no big rush

When I was done Dad took me to my room

Mom gave me a kiss and told me she loved her rainbow loom

I tried to relax hoping to spot some sheep

But my eyes kept opening I wouldn’t get any sleep

“Daddy!” I yelled hoping to wake him up

But mommy came in with some water in a cup

She asked me what was wrong and I explained it quite long

I think she fell asleep because I didn’t hear a peep

But when I was done mom started to hum

“I know this song!” I exclaimed with great joy

“It’s about a tree and a little baby boy!”

Mother gave me the quiet signal with her finger to her lip

I repeated after her using my index fingers tip

The last thing I remember was mom leaving my room

The pretty moonlight sparkled on moms rainbow loom

                                        It was bedtime
